who we are
latenz ensemble is comprised of eight musicians: 3 string players (violin, viola, cello), 3 wind players (flutes, bass and contrabass clarinet, bass trombone), and a 2-headed "rhythm section" of sorts (accordion, percussion).
Specialties and interests of these players vary broadly and expand beyond the norms of instrumental play: improvisation, jazz, multimedia, visual and performance arts, even clownery are integral parts of the ensemble members' artistic practices.
